IS IT RIGHT FOR A BELIEVER TO CONTINUE ON A JOB WHICH HE GOT WITH QUESTIONABLE CREDENTIALS (BEFORE HE GOT SAVED)? IS IT RIGHT FOR A BELIEVER TO CONTINUE ON A JOB WHICH HE GOT WITH QUESTIONABLE CREDENTIALS (BEFORE HE GOT SAVED)?

Peter was desperately in need of a Job when he got to hear about a vacancy in one of the best engineering firms in Lagos. He was excited because he knew he could fit very well into the vacant position but there was only one issue. He didn’t have the complete credentials requested by the company.

He had to cut corners and paid someone to get him a fake certificate so he can apply for the job. Amazingly he passed the interview and got the job.

He has been a staff for over 5 years now and even got a promotion in his third year to be the head of his department. His boss loves him so much because he is hardworking and always hits his monthly target.

On fateful day, a young soul winner met him on his way home from the office and told him about Jesus and invited him for a programme which he promised not to miss. He attended the program and was touched. He got saved that day in church and went back home rejoicing and started attending church services regularly.

Now Peter is going through a battle in his mind. He was no longer comfortable about how he got the job with fake credentials because he is now born-again. He is in-between keeping the job or letting the cat out of the bag and stand a risk of losing his dream job.

Peter sincerely needs your help. Will it be right if he continues on the job knowing fully well that he got it with questionable credentials before he got saved?

Kindly comment below with your thoughts on this important issue. Is it right for Peter to keep this job despite having secured it with fake credentials?

  3. IT IS A HARD THING BUT THE RIGHT ACTION TO TAKE….It is Godly for Peter to report his art, before the devil takes advantage of his decision to follow christ. I believe so strongly that God will intervene in his matter.
NOTE: The principle that works in the Kingdow of God is different from the principle that work in the kingdom of darkness. Thanks

  4. It is wrong for a believer to keep a job or anything that is questionable, though in this case Peter got the job before giving his life to christ,to me I will advice Peter since he now knows the truth, he should start working toward getting another job before dropping the old since he’s a new convert but if his faith is strong enough to believe God even in tough situations he should quit the job and believe God for a better one thanks

  5. Hmmmm this is serious, I don’t think he should leave the job because in the passage it says he has been in that job for five years and got promoted on the third year which means he had being a hard working man even effective to the company he didn’t get the job because of money but it his dream job, he has passion for the job and even his boss loved him because his contribution and effort has added value to the company so I don’t think he should leave the job……and finally as a born again Christian he should tell his boss how and what he did to get the job remember his boss love him because he his hardworking and added value to the company. God forgive so who are we not to forgive. I believe his boss will forgive him and give him his job back because of his passion and contributions to the company. Thank you.
